Let’s get sensible on Tuesday.

Samuel L Jackson has a wake up call for the country. And it is right on.

My name is not Samuel L Jackson, but I approve this message.

Time to get out and vote, organize and just generally get up of your ass.

Don't let him get any richer from the proceeds of selling favors to the fat cats.

But sadly some of the council members don’t. Let’s get real, banning happy meals is not going to cure anything.
Any nutritional value in fast food is purely coincidental. But the taste is the thing.
See Jon Stewart’s great take on this.

Ninety years ago this August, women finally won the right to vote when the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920. But instead of taking that right seriously, Meg Whitman has rarely voted for three decades. She wants to be our next governor — but shouldn’t she show more respect for the struggles that earned women the right to vote?

That’s why the Courage Campaign is teaming up with the California Nurses Association to send a message to Meg Whitman about the voting rights she took for granted. On Thursday, August 26, nurses and activists from across California will travel to Sacramento for a rally celebrating women’s right to vote. Many will take a train to Sacramento, honoring the suffragist movement and their success, and dressing in costumes from the suffragist era.

Even if you can’t join the rally, you can still help us send a message to Meg Whitman on the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. If you would like to be registered to Vote By Mail — the most reliable way to vote every election — please fill out the following form and the Courage Campaign will mail you a Vote-By-Mail application ASAP. Once you receive it, just fill it out and mail it in to your county registrar!

Ahh Umm Err looks like we have another great prognosticator here.  I’ll find some and bring them to ya.

If like me you don’t watch Katie Couric you may have missed this gem of an interview.

And here’s a little gem of a story CBS must have missed,  courtesy of  Popbitch.

McCain offers Sarah Palin a ride on his chopper

All you have to do is stand for President and
American companies start showering you with
freebies. John McCain was just given a customised
motorbike, by Orange County Choppers. It’s
designed to be a tribute to PoWs – the barbed
wire highlights are especially tasteful.

When McCain was presented with the bike he said
“Sarah and I are going to get on that chopper
and ride it straight to Washington!”.

Sadly John McCain doesn’t have a bike license and
his years as a PoW means he can’t lift his arms
high enough to reach the handlebars. Plus the
lack of rear suspension would aggravate his
enlarged prostate. Oh and the bike isn’t road
legal either. Nice work, Orange County Choppers.

You can’t make this stuff up.

What a distinction, to be the biggest liar ever in American political campaigns.
I thought they waited until after they were “elected” before telling such huge lies.

I liked the juxtaposition of the Netflix ad with the other photo, really brings it home.  I find it interesting how many people say what a liar he is, but the networks haven’t got on it yet.  Maybe they really are government controlled.

Got Yahoo?

Everybody knows that you have multiple e-mails, your employer’s one for serious secure stuff, G-Mail for keeping in contact with friends and then you have the burner e-mails like yahoo, hotmail, aol, etc.  You give these to people you want to ignore.  But to use one for government work?  What was she thinking?

I don’t know if this poll started before or after her yahoo account got hacked but what I found interesting was there were no undecideds.  There normally is in any poll, of course it could have changed by now.

Go see what it is at now.
